Westcourt Chartered Accountants

Chartered Accountants

Westcourt Consulting is a mid-sized practice of 11 professional staff centrally located in East Perth, Western Australia. As a practice specialising only in privately held businesses we offer a depth of knowledge that is unique to the market.

As a practice our primary focus is on getting the basics right. We return phone calls, we answer questions quickly, we listen, we lodge forms on time, we don’t see “surprises” coming in the post and we keep our promises. And once we get the basics right we go back over what we do and focus on the basics again and then we do it again. Getting the basics right the first time every time is the cornerstone of how we operate and how we add value.

Everything else from there is a bonus and we absolutely love it. But there is no point in talking up all of the extra good stuff if we can’t do the basics well.

Somehow the basics in helping people seems to becoming rare. We here about long response times, excuses and advisors who are not prepared to listen. Basic rules of how to operate is what made us successful and we stick to the basics as a cornerstone of how we think and how we treat our clients.

Once we get the basics right, and we can build up a level of trust with people we can talk about other stuff that gives value; but at all times we remember what made us great and we keep taking the practice back to the basics.

The interesting things we focus on, once the basics are in place, vary widely and from person to person. We might identify SMSF strategies you have never heard of, we might investigate the R&D tax rebate, we might prompt you to look at new product lines, we might look into arbitrage opportunities with payroll tax, we might give you a clearer picture on a problem. The opportunities we find vary and the value we add greatly depends on how much you want us to be involved.

What is for certain is that if we do something we will get the basics done properly and we will do as we promise.
